If you look to create and celebrate traditions in each season, like I do, then there is so much to celebrate in the fall season. It is in this season that we tend to forget our diets to enjoy a diverse selection of seasonal treats; including cookies, pies, apple cider, apple crisp, pumpkin-fused everything and who can forget eggnog.
In this time of the year, those of us in the North East find ourselves in a new pace as the air grows more crisp with each breath, and the bountiful leaves give way to colorful displays. It is also in this season that we find ourselves trying to celebrate more with friends and family; especially as we get closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
However, it is also in this season, as we approach Thanksgiving, that we also begin to realize all that we have much to be thankful for. When we force ourselves to stop and buy adderall take inventory, we realize that we all have a lot to be thankful for despite life’s many ups and downs.
This Wednesday, November 23rd is Thanksgiving Eve. In this season that we find ourselves postured towards gratitude, Katie McLain and I want to invite you to a community Thanksgiving Eve worship gathering at East buy seroquel Petersburg Mennonite Church.
This annual opportunity for reflection on gratitude is a collaboration between East Petersburg Mennonite Church and Hempfield Church of the Brethren. However, this is a community Thanksgiving Eve worship gathering and is for anyone and everyone. So, this Wednesday, We invite you to gather with together despite any differences we might have. Let us thank God for the many blessings that we do have in our lives. Let us also respond together from a place of gratitude to those in need.
This year, we will be responding to two different identified areas of need. First, we will be taking a special offering that will aid in Hurricane Matthew Relief efforts through both the Mennonite Disaster Service and Brethren Disaster Ministries. Secondly, we also encourage you to bring diapers, wipes or other baby items to donate to Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services and their work with new mothers in need.
So, we hope to see you at East Petersburg Mennonite Church for Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, at 7:00p.m. Let us take this moment in our busy lives to come together, to be grateful for what we do have, and to thank God as we respond to others in their need.
